we love everything about levis.  their jeans are legendary in the fashion world.  and working with them at fashion week was a dream come true...  a good pair of jeans is a wardrobe staple.  pair them with anything and you're sure to look amazing.  even better, the same can be said about the makeup that complimented levis fall 2012 collection.  consider the following when you recreate this nude look.

-nude makeup doesn't have to be plain and/or boring.  like a good pair of jeans, even the most basic items can make a statement.  contour your features to make sure they stand out when you are using neutral tones. also, don't forget key features like the brows.

-apply a natural color in your crease to contour and lift your eyes.  try one to two shades darker than your skintone.  we love the in the light palette because you can mix colors to create your perfect shade!

-don't let your cheeks get lost in the look.  instead, apply a natural blush or bronzer.  then use a highlighter on your cheekbones.

we love the "ethereal goth" look sarah lucero created for alice + olivia's fall 2012 collection.  not only did the look combine some of our favorite new products, but it was also bold and beautiful at the same time.  here are some tips to recreate this runway look in your own bathroom.

-keep the skin light and velvety, allowing the color products to stand out.  stila's HD beauty balm is the ideal starter product, creating a flawless canvas for makeup.  apply it all over the face and use a concealer where you need more coverage.

every year in los angeles, cedars-sinai sports spectacular is held.  what is it?  an exciting charity event established to promote genetic research for numerous diseases.  this event has raised over $20 million dollars and contributed to life-saving work throughout the years.  guests of the event include members from various industries - banking, entertainment, and of course sports. 

this year, stila was honored to do the makeup for the event's fashion show.  stila pro artist, sulema fernandez-honn, created an amazing look for the fashion show.  we love it and are so excited for you to see these pictures from this event.

the passing of elizabeth taylor yesterday was sad for all of us at stila.  she was a beauty legend who will definitely be missed.  makeup trends definitely come and go; however, elizabeth taylor's look was classic no matter what day or year.  she had a timeless beauty and her style was contagious.
