stila beauty at IMATS

we had a blast at IMATS last weekend.  if you attended the event, you might understand why some people refer to it as, “comic con for girls”!!!  walking into IMATS might have even been more exciting than the debut of the new iPhone 4 – you make the call.  if you weren’t there, check out this behind the scenes footage.  also, here is the beauty 411 straight from sarah’s class at IMATS.


first, incorporate your own style into your beauty look.  check out the models from the class.  each one of them had their own unique style, and their makeup matched their personalities and tastes. sarah talked about how this is the goal with any client or designer;  however, we all can apply this theory to our own personal makeup choices.


second, skin is in.  and one step makeup is a must have for anyone looking for perfected skin in seconds!  the four in one formula saves times and makes anyone’s skin look fantastic.  it has already become a go to product for so many makeup artists.

are you tired of looking tired?  the truth is, all of us have suffered from “looking tired” at one point or another.  however, some people are plagued with dark under eye circles that seem to bring about that tired look. regardless of whether you stayed out late last night or simply cannot see to rectify the problem you have with dark circles, consider the falling tips to help you avoid looking tired during the day. 

apply perfecting concealer underneath the eye, concentrating on the areas that need to be corrected.

for severe dark circles, try adding a product to further help correct discoloration.  bronze babe one step prime color is a great option for medium warm skin tones.  mix this product with concealer for an amazing smooth finish to the under eye area.  also, topaz kajal works well as a color corrector and can be applied underneath concealer. 

if you suffer from dull under eyes, apply illuminating tinted moisturizer in shade 2.  the peachy tone will brighten and help correct the discoloration under the eye.

while we hate to take sides, we have to admit that we are quite thrilled with the laker victory!!!  in case you haven’t noticed, we’ve been rooting for them all along.  we’ve been sporting lots of 14 kt eye shadow and purple tang smudge stick eyeliner in their honor.  and you might have noticed our logo next to the kiss cam during the games!

travel friendly makeup at cynthia rowley’s resort presentation

stila star jason araujo led the stila team backstage at the cynthia rowley resort presentation.  jason used stila products to create a travel friendly look for the models who literally had to walk the streets of new york dazzling fans, editors, and tourists with cynthia’s latest creations.

stila and gap partnered with the mother company for the production of their new educational children’s dvd.  stila artists lindsey and viviana were on the set of this endeavor, working behind the scenes to make sure everyone was camera ready.  check out some photos taken during the making of the dance scene for the dvd.




there were over 30 girls in this scene of the dvd.  lindsey and viviana relied on stila’s must have products – fuschia convertible color and fruit punch lip glaze – to prepare the girls for the camera!  one girl commented that she was so excited to be wearing stila makeup because it was the only makeup her mom wore! 



these stila girls danced their hearts out in the heat for several hours.  fortunately, stila’s sheer pressed powder kept their skin sweat free!  however, it was still a long day for some of the young ones!

stila sponsored this year’s women in film, crystal + lucy awards.  the event honored women in the entertainment industry, recognizing their achievements, talent, and passion.  courtney cox, donna langley, zoe saldana, cynthia pusheck, and lisa cholodenko were honored as well as other individuals.  we were so thrilled to have the pleasure to participate in this wonderful celebration.

stila artists’ kaci, lindsey, and viviana worked the event.  natural finish foundation was their go to item of the night.  it flawlessly covered everyone’s skin and provided a healthy finish that was definitely award worthy!  here’s some behind the scenes pics from the night!  go stila!
