pumpkin eye mask recipe

So I was surfing the web and I found something really cool that I had to share with all of you! Around this time of year, everyone’s house somehow is full of pumpkins. You’ve got your jack-o-lanterns for Halloween, and for some reason it’s festive for Thanksgiving to have pumpkins decorating the table and scattered all around the house. But what the heck do you do with all of them when the holiday is over? Well girls, I have discovered a solution!

Since pumpkins are a fruit (because they have seeds), they have awesome ingredients that make them great for your skin including beta-carotene, vitamin c, and antioxidants. L.A. celeb skin expert, Narine Nikogosian has written a new book Return to Beauty: Old-World Recipes for Great Radiant Skin that includes a lot of skin-soothing recipes using pumpkin. Here is one of them:

Pumpkin Eye Mask

Good for: Anyone

Ingredients: 1 pumpkin slice, 1 teaspoon honey

Preparation: Peel and seed a slice of pumpkin. Cook it in 2 cups of water until soft, then mash it and add 1 teaspoon of honey.

Application: Put the mixture inside clean gauze, then place over your eyes and relax for 20 minutes.

Pick the book up a copy of the book to get more great pumpkin-themed recipes, and gives thanks to these big orange fruits for all that they do.
